Grosshau is taken

A flanking battalion cut the Grosshau-Gey road while tanks and tank destroyers reached the western approach at dusk. The combined pressure collapsed the defence and more than one hundred Germans surrendered. The village opened the way toward the eastern forest edge, but the 22nd Infantry was already close to exhaustion.
